TERMS AND CONDITIONS CEREL EXAM
1. Introduction:
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the administration and participation in the Certificado de Español Legal/Legal Spanish Language Certificate (“Exam”). By registering for and participating in the Exam, you (“Participant”) agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Eligibility:
The Exam is open to whoever wish to demonstrate their proficiency in the Spanish language for legal purposes. Participants must be at least 18 years old to take the Exam.

3. Registration and Payment:
Participants must complete the online registration form and pay the required fee to reserve their spot for the Exam. The registration fee is non-refundable, except in cases where the CEREL.ONLINE cancels the Exam.

4. Exam Details:
The Exam will assess participants’ Spanish language skills relevant to legal practice. It will consist of reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written and oral components, as determined by CEREL.ONLINE. The Exam date, time, and location will be communicated to the registered participants in advance.

5. Code of Conduct:
Participants are expected to adhere to a professional and respectful demeanour throughout the Exam. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or misconduct will result in immediate disqualification, and the participant may be barred from taking future exams.

6. Results and Certification:
Exam results will be evaluated by qualified assessors appointed by CEREL.ONLINE. Participants who achieve a passing grade (50% or more) will be awarded the Certificado de Español Legal/Legal Spanish Language Certificate. 

“Certificado de Español Legal/Legal Spanish Language Certificate” is entirely non-official. It is neither endorsed, governed, nor supported by any official language accreditation bodies or governmental institutions. This certificate is independently issued by CEREL.ONLINE as a testament to the recipient’s proficiency in legal Spanish, without the backing of officially recognized language organizations.

7. Intellectual Property:
All materials and content related to the Exam, including questions, answers, and assessment criteria, are the intellectual property of CEREL.ONLINE and are protected by copyright laws. Participants are strictly prohibited from reproducing, disclosing, or sharing any Exam-related materials without prior written consent from CEREL.ONLINE. Those who take the Mock exam are also strictly prohibited from reproducing, disclosing, or sharing any Mock Exam-related materials without prior written consent from CEREL.ONLINE

8. Certificate Issuance:
Certificates will be issued to successful participants within a reasonable time after the Exam results have been finalized and validated. CEREL.ONLINE reserves the right to withhold or revoke the Certificate in the event of any breach of these Terms or other irregularities.

9. Non-Guarantee of Results:
While CEREL.ONLINE strives to provide a fair and accurate assessment, the Exam does not guarantee any specific outcomes or results regarding participants’ language proficiency or legal skills.

10. Privacy Policy:
CEREL.ONLINE will handle participants’ personal information in accordance with its privacy policy. By registering for the Exam, participants consent to the collection, use, and processing of their personal data as described in the privacy policy.

11. Termination or Modification of the Exam:
CEREL.ONLINE reserves the right to terminate, modify, or suspend the Exam at its discretion. In such cases, participants will be duly informed through appropriate communication channels, and registered participants may receive a refund of the registration fee.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
These Terms and the Exam shall be governed by the laws of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Any dispute arising from or related to the Exam shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Buenos Aires.

13. Acceptance:
By registering for Certificado de Español Legal/Legal Spanish Language Certificate, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SCHEDULED COURSES

1. CEREL.ONLINE offers Spanish language lessons for lawyers, attorneys, law students, paralegals, and business professionals. These lessons are intended solely for Spanish language teaching purposes and should not be construed as providing legal, financial, or professional advice in any way. Furthermore, these lessons are not intended to function as lectures on law or business matters, nor are they intended to serve as translation lessons. The materials provided are not meant to be taken as actual pieces of legislation or contracts; they are purely Spanish language teaching materials with a strong focus on vocabulary and grammatical structure learning.
2. CEREL.ONLINE does not make any promises or guarantees, whether explicit or implied, about the condition, results, performance, or suitability of the services we offer. Any such promises, guarantees, or assurances are not part of the agreement and are not legally binding.

3. The liability of CEREL.ONLINE shall be subject to the following limitations:
a. CEREL.ONLINE shall not be held liable for any  indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever, including but not limited to loss of profits, business, contracts, revenue, damage to the  STUDENT’s reputation or goodwill, anticipated savings, lack of results, loss or corruption of data, information or software, or any other similar losses.
b. In relation to our services or any potential absence of them for any given reason, the maximum liability of CEREL.ONLINE will be confined to the total fee paid to CEREL.ONLINE for the said services.

4. Prior to the start of the course or, at the latest, between the first and second lessons of the 10-lesson term, CEREL.ONLINE will send the STUDENTS a Week-by-Week plan. This document will outline the topics, language functions, and grammar that will be covered during the term. The STUDENTS will have the opportunity to suggest any changes that better suit their needs.
5. All learning materials to be used during the course, such as PDF documents, audio tracks, quizzes, etc., will be provided by CEREL.ONLINE and are included in the course fee. While CEREL.ONLINE strives to ensure all provided materials are free from viruses, we cannot offer a guarantee. It is the responsibility of the STUDENT to monitor these materials using their own internal systems. CEREL.ONLINE will not be held accountable for any data loss, intrusion, cyberattacks, scams, or other harm caused by third party attacks.
6. Payment for services must be made prior to commencement of any tuition upon presentation of the relevant invoice. There is no VAT charge on CEREL.ONLINE’s invoices.
7. The learning materials provided are intended just for the personal study of CEREL.ONLINE’ STUDENTS and are not authorized for sharing or disclosure.
8. As CEREL.ONLINE does not provide lectures but rather Spanish language lessons, STUDENTS are expected to actively participate during the sessions. Lessons are student-centred, and active speaking, asking, and answering questions are encouraged.
9. CEREL.ONLINE utilizes an open Google document as a whiteboard for interactive lessons. To fully participate, STUDENTS are advised to allow access to Google from their own computers. CEREL.ONLINE does not assume responsibility for any data collected by Google, nor do we hold liability for any potential damage caused by viruses or other issues related to Google.
10. Vocabulary learning will be enhanced using the Quizlet app. For an optimal learning experience, STUDENTS are encouraged to create their own FREE accounts on Quizlet.com. CEREL.ONLINE does not assume responsibility for any data collected by Quizlet.com, and we disclaim any liability for potential damage caused by viruses or other issues related to Quizlet.com.
11. STUDENTS are strongly advised to use a desktop or laptop computer for online lessons with CEREL.ONLINE, as they are better suited for tasks involving writing and reading. Tablets and phones, on the other hand, may be used for interactive vocabulary games.
12. Zoom will be used as the communication platform during the sessions, which will be hosted by CEREL.ONLINE. CEREL.ONLINE does not assume responsibility for any data collected by Zoom, and we disclaim any liability for potential damage caused by viruses or other issues related to Zoom.
13. CEREL.ONLINE will not conduct any recordings of sessions, and STUDENTS are strictly prohibited from recording lessons in any form. If this condition is breached and any recording occurs, CEREL.ONLINE will not be held accountable for any resultant loss or violation of data protection.
14. By enrolling in a course, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.

7. If the STUDENT(S) wish to rearrange or cancel any lesson within the 10-lesson term, they must provide more than 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled lesson. For Monday classes, notice of cancellation must be given by Thursday of the previous week. Failure to provide timely notice will result in the lesson being charged as if it were taken.
8. The 10 sessions of tuition booked must be completed within a period of three months from the date of the first lesson unless a written notification has been given by CEREL.ONLINE to the STUDENT(S) stating otherwise.
9. The learning materials provided are intended just for the personal study of CEREL.ONLINE’ STUDENTS and are not authorized for sharing or disclosure.
10. As CEREL.ONLINE does not provide lectures but rather Spanish language lessons, STUDENTS are expected to actively participate during the sessions. Lessons are student-centred, and active speaking, asking, and answering questions are encouraged.
11. STUDENTS should undergo an assessment by CEREL.ONLINE before the course begins to determine their suitability and to better prepare the Week-by-Week plan. If STUDENTS believe they do not require assessment due to their self-assessed level, the Week-by-Week plan may not fully align with their actual needs regarding topics and language use (grammar).
12. CEREL.ONLINE utilizes an open Google document as a whiteboard for interactive lessons. To fully participate, STUDENTS are advised to have access to Google from their own computers. CEREL.ONLINE does not assume responsibility for any data collected by Google, nor do we hold liability for any potential damage caused by viruses or other issues related to Google.
13. Vocabulary learning will be enhanced using the Quizlet app. For an optimal learning experience, STUDENTS are encouraged to create their own FREE accounts on Quizlet.com. 15. Unless otherwise requested by the STUDENT(S), Zoom will be used as the communication platform during the sessions, which will be hosted by CEREL.ONLINE. CEREL.ONLINE does not assume responsibility for any data collected by the communication platform utilized, and we disclaim any liability for potential damage caused by viruses or other issues related to it.
16. CEREL.ONLINE will not conduct any recordings of sessions, and STUDENTS are strictly prohibited from recording lessons in any form. If this condition is breached and any recording occurs, CEREL.ONLINE will not be held accountable for any resultant loss or violation of data protection.
17. If this agreement is extended, the terms and conditions will remain unchanged.

18. By requesting lessons to CEREL.ONLINE, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.

TERMINOLOGY: In this document, the term “CLIENT” refers to a company or employer that enrols its employees, partners, and/or executives, collectively referred to as “STUDENT(S),” in CEREL.ONLINE’s language learning programs.

17. CEREL.ONLINE will not conduct any recordings of sessions, and the CLIENT and STUDENTS are strictly prohibited from recording lessons in any form. If this condition is breached and any recording occurs, CEREL.ONLINE will not be held accountable for any resultant loss or violation of data protection. It is the CLIENT’s responsibility to ensure STUDENTS’ compliance with this clause.
18. CEREL.ONLINE may have to disclose STUDENTS’ personal information to the CLIENT, such as attendance, assessments results and progress reports.
19. If this agreement is extended, the terms and conditions will remain unchanged.
20. The CLIENT bears the responsibility to ensure that STUDENTS acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
21. By requesting lessons to CEREL.ONLINE, the CLIENT and the STUDENTS acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.

CEREL.ONLINE will use STUDENTS’ personal data such as name and email address for the following purposes:

To administer the course.
To send students materials and contact them.
To maintain own accounts and records.

Your personal data – what is it?

Personal data relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data.
